Senior AI/ML Engineer

About the Role:

• Build and run ranking, recommendation, and search systems for the Discovery Pod.
• Own models end to end, from features and training through evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.

What You'll Do:

• Design multi-tenant ranking and recommendation systems for marketplace and branded storefronts.
• Build contextual, conversational, and image-based search using LLMs and image embeddings.
• Run search-specific evaluation with offline metrics and interleaving experiments.

What We're Looking For:

• 5-10 years of experience with information retrieval infrastructure and applied ML for ranking.
• Production experience with LLMs, low-latency model serving, and graceful failure design.
• Comfort using AI coding agents and building evaluation harnesses to catch bugs.
