Job Description

The Chief Advancement Officer will develop and drive strategic fundraising plans to advance the organization’s fundraising goals and lead the Marketing and Content teams, as well as fundraising teams. They will maintain and strengthen relationships with current donors and partners to increase gift size, frequency, and retention and personally manage a portfolio of current and prospective donors. The CAO will build consensus around Trevor’s philanthropic philosophy and oversee marketing responsibilities, content development, graphic design, video production, and photography. They will partner with the Executive team to create annual revenue generation plans and work closely with the CEO and Board Chair to build a pipeline of competitive and diverse board candidates. The role involves overseeing the development of marketing and communication strategies that promote fundraising campaigns and elevate Trevor’s visibility. This includes continuously monitoring the prospect management process to enhance cultivation and ensuring strong departmental systems are in place to support quality donor management. The Chief Advancement Officer will also set and implement annual fundraising goals, manage revenue and expense budgets, and partner with the Board Development Committee. The minimum qualifications include proven success in raising eight-figure fundraising revenue annually and building and retaining teams.
