Job Overview:

  • This role involves overseeing small- to medium-scale healthcare technology projects for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, focusing on Biomedical Engineering and the Electronic Health Record Modernization effort.
  • The Project Manager will lead the full project lifecycle, including planning, execution, risk management, and delivery, ensuring compliance with VA and federal regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with EHRM stakeholders across Biomedical Engineering departments and VA leadership to define project goals and deliverables.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and milestones effectively with technical and non-technical audiences, including VA leadership and clinical staff.
  • Utilize knowledge of HTM Computerized Maintenance Management Systems and integrate emerging technologies like LLM applications for documentation and process automation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher and certification in project management, such as PMP, with a minimum of two years of experience in a hospital or healthcare environment managing medical equipment or HTM programs.
  • Experience with leading EHR deployments across multiple healthcare facilities and understanding of federal regulatory requirements from The Joint Commission and ISO standards.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship and able to obtain and maintain a federal public trust clearance.
