About the Role:
- Responsible for reviewing patient medical records and translating information into codes for insurance claims.
- Works closely with physicians and staff to ensure coding accuracy and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assign and sequence codes correctly according to regulations.
- Verify patient charts, collect information for monthly reports, and identify chronic conditions.
- Follow up on unclear documentation and implement coding procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school degree or equivalent with a medical coding certificate (RHIT/CPC).
- At least 1 year of medical coding experience.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
