Android Engineer

About the Role:

• As an Android Engineer, you'll architect the bridge between the digital world and the outdoors, building tools for millions of trailgoers.
• Contribute to the native Android app, writing clean code and learning modern mobile architecture with mentorship from senior engineers.
• Spend time gaining hands-on experience with a contemporary mobile stack to power on-trail navigation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop features that enhance the app's navigation and discovery capabilities for users.
• Identify and resolve bugs to maintain app stability, especially in low-connectivity outdoor environments.
• Deliver performant, secure, and scalable code that users can trust on every adventure they undertake.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrable experience from 2+ years of native Android development, with proficiency in Kotlin and modern patterns.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, Jetpack Compose, and local persistence technologies like Room or SQLite.
• Passion for mobile tech and AllTrails' mission, with curiosity, humility, and eagerness to learn from feedback.
