The Senior Accountant will own the general ledger, ensuring timely recording and accuracy of every balance. Key areas include revenue recognition, deferred revenue, sales tax, and fixed assets at customer sites. Owning the balance sheet reconciliations and subledgers, ensuring a full understanding of the detail amounts and the validity and accuracy of the amounts that make up the balances. Owning the sales tax process, ensuring accurate calculations and timely filings, including the selection and implementation of the appropriate system to automate sales tax calculation and filing. The Senior Accountant will also participate in the monthly close process; in audits, including annual financial audits, sales tax, and workers comp; in the design and implementation of a mid tier financial system; and in the continuous effort for processes and systems improvements. Overseeing the procure to pay process and owning the payroll process, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time.
