Staff Engineer - Data Modeler

Job Overview:

• The Senior Data Modeler will design and govern data architecture for unstructured knowledge assets.
• This role bridges data engineering with KM domain expertise.
• It translates raw content into discoverable data products within Databricks Unity Catalog.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design logical and physical data models for unstructured content.
• Establish metadata standards and tagging taxonomies.
• Partner with data engineers to ensure alignment.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years experience in data modeling or data architecture with unstructured data.
• Hands-on experience with modern data catalog, preferably Databricks Unity Catalog.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Success Metrics:

• Domain model and metadata taxonomy defined and adopted for at least one major KM data product line.
• Data products registered and discoverable in Unity Catalog with correct security classifications.
• Documented, repeatable modeling standard.
