Job Overview:
- This level 3 coding position supports the Enterprise Coding Department for inpatient services.
- Requires AHIMA certification and advanced inpatient coding experience.
- Focuses on accurate ICD-10 coding and collaboration with CDI and billing teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain 95%+ accuracy in coding and abstracting from medical records.
- Use EPIC and 3M 360 for coding and resolve denials.
- Monitor compliance with federal and Oregon state laws.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED with 4+ years coding experience.
- Certification from AHIMA or AAPC (RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CPC).
- Preferred: associate degree and EPIC/3M experience.
Work Environment:
- Monday-Friday, remote position with potential weekend overtime.
- Full-time with union representation and benefits.
