Coder III

Key Responsibilities:

• Reviews and interprets inpatient, outpatient, and emergency records to assign appropriate ICD and CPT codes.
• Utilizes diagnostic reports and follows official coding guidelines for accurate code assignment and abstraction.
• Submits daily productivity reports and participates in coding section meetings and training.

Qualifications:

• CCS credential required; college degree in Health Information Management or equivalent experience.
• Associate or Bachelor degree in Health Information Technology preferred.
• One year of acute care coding experience for inpatient, observation, or emergency medicine.
