Director of Software Engineering

The Director of Software Engineering will organize and direct the Software Engineering group of the IT Department and lead an Agile organization focused on strategic design, development, and maintenance of systems. They will understand the company vision, mission, goals, strategic interests, and priorities, and create supporting software strategies. This leader will oversee the development, implementation, and execution of multiple agile teams and backlogs, and establish goals and performance objectives that align with business goals. The Director will also ensure regular monitoring and measurement to ensure the department provides effective, efficient, and highly valued service. They will manage within budget, formulate process and organizational improvement programs, and integrate activities with business units and IT departments. Staying current with software development trends, they will support disaster planning and integrate software systems from third-party vendors.
