Underwriting Operations Specialist II

We are growing our Underwriting Operations team. That means we’re looking for an enthusiastic, get-it-done, team-driven Underwriting Operations Specialist II to focus on underwriting operations and following processes to ensure our underwriting strategy and guidelines are supported appropriately. The role focuses on applying specialized skills within the field of underwriting operations, requires solid experience, and a developing expertise in contributing to functional strategies that impact team deliverables. The position demands the ability to work through daily situations by utilizing available resources and applying strong analytical thinking to assess risk and make sound decisions. Applies in-depth technical knowledge gained through hands-on experience. Proficiency in underwriting processes, managing workflows, inspection reviews, and understanding automated systems. Has a strong ability to utilize underwriting tools and underwriting guidelines to evaluate risk and insurance coverage. Has a demonstrated ability to make underwriting decisions based off prior knowledge and experience. Has a solid understanding of our policies, and applies our underwriting guidelines when making a decision to reduce our company risk. This will also require knowledge of our contracts, policy forms, and policy coverages. Can solve non-routine issues utilizing analytical skills and judgment utilizing Branch resources, not limited to, but including UW Guides, Contract, and Guru.
