Investment Accounting Manager

As the Investment Accounting Manager, you will be an integral part of an accounting team that supports a $7B portfolio made of Fixed Income and Alternative Investment asset classes. You will report to the Head of Investment Accounting and will work closely with the internal investment managers. Your responsibilities will include preparing and reviewing monthly and quarterly journal bookings, bank reconciliations, and general ledger reconciliations primarily relating to investment transactions and accounts. You will also assist in the preparation and review of the US GAAP financial statement investment disclosures & MD&A for the SEC 10Q/10K, as well as US Statutory investment schedules, rating agency and capital analyses, and the proper accounting treatment of complex transactions. You will implement and maintain appropriate processes and controls in accordance with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) requirements, manage internal and external audit requests, support various treasury related activities and prepare material for management and board committee presentation. The role participating in process improvement and ad hoc projects as required including opportunities beyond investment accounting.
