The Authorization and Eligibility Coordinator accurately identifies insurance and verifies eligibility and benefits, obtaining authorization as required by each insurance company, dependent upon the plan coverage for each patient. This role accurately assesses benefits to ensure reimbursement for services provided. Also responsible for contacting patients for updated insurance information when applicable and for coordinating with branch staff.
This person acts as a resource for referral sources and works closely with branch staff to ensure that the admission and recertification process is efficient, facilitating timely initiation and overall provision of care.
This is a fully remote position but the person hired for this role should reside within driving distance of an Enhabit office.
