Software Engineer - Backend

Actively participate in the design, build, test, implementation, and sustainment phases of a sensor data aggregation product. In this role, you will join a research and product development team and will be responsible for building and maintaining relevant applications, services, APIs, and user-interfaces related to cloud-hosted data management platforms. The ideal candidate for this position will be a self-starter that has a passion for learning, and has a history of working very closely with data. Leverage experience with the principles of large-scale (terabytes) database development, data modeling, data mapping, data testing, data quality, and technical data GUI UI/UX. Utilization of open source libraries to extract, transform, and load (ETL) complex datasets. Design and develop related web-based user-interfaces. Provide ongoing maintenance, support and enhancements in existing systems and platforms. Work directly with users in the field to implement new features and debug issues. Provide technical/functional guidance, and support to other team members. Work closely with product owners and managers to develop engineering roadmaps. Develop and support features on both the backend and frontend.
