Senior Backend Engineer, Billing

About the Role:

• You will own the systems that turn every plan, price, entitlement, and usage limit into revenue.
• You will drive the modernization of the billing platform using Go, TypeScript, and AWS.
• You will operate what you build with SLOs, alerting, and on-call.

Responsibilities:

• Design and build the systems that define plans, pricing, entitlements, and limits.
• Decompose billing from the monolith into services that are correct and independently deployable.
• Own correctness end to end including usage metering, reconciliation, and invoices.

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience with complex backend applications.
• Experience decomposing a monolith and a track record on systems where correctness is non-negotiable.
• Proficiency in at least one backend language and familiarity with cloud infrastructure.
