Staff Software Engineer, AI Foundations

Responsibilities:

• Work as a software engineer focusing on agentic coding and AI SDK features.
• Design and build systems that deliver high-quality outputs and support broad frameworks.
• Develop a deep understanding of AI application patterns and emerging architectures.

Collaboration:

• Work with multiple programming languages and serve as a domain expert.
• Collaborate with the developer community and field staff on best practices.
• Travel to meet coworkers once or twice a year and attend conferences occasionally.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of professional experience and fluency in multiple languages.
• Deep experience in concurrent programming and API design.
• Strong technical communication skills in English and open source contributions.

Compensation:

• The estimated pay range for this role is $224,000 - $302,400.
• This role is eligible to participate in Temporal's equity plan.
