Platform & Infrastructure Ownership:
- Take end-to-end ownership of our internal orchestration platform — a real SaaS product that DevOps builds and operates.
- Evolve the platform as a product: understand engineering needs, design workflows, and ship software.
- Own and evolve infrastructure-as-code with Terraform Cloud and manage Kubernetes workloads with Helm.
Enabling Engineering Self-Service:
- Provide tooling, infrastructure, and processes letting engineers own services end-to-end.
- Partner directly with engineers to reason about distributed systems, data flows, and pinpoint problems.
- Set ownership boundaries between Engineering and DevOps to avoid gaps.
Reliability & Operations:
- Set SLOs, plan capacity, run resilience drills, and keep systems within target.
- Share production on-call, drive incident remediation, and run blameless post-incident reviews.
- Apply least-privilege IAM, secrets management, and security scanning in all provisioning.
