Cost Analyst II

The Cost Analyst position is responsible for the preparation, coordination, and documentation of financial analysis projects, offering analytical support across diverse projects. This role requires proficiency in computer skills and a deep understanding of Project Services' tools and software. A key aspect involves cost plan development and analysis to determine project achievability, alongside creating and updating monthly forecast budgets. Responsibilities include forecasting costs to completion, assessing project performance against industry standards, communicating cost-related risks, and assisting Project Managers with funding requests. The analyst will input data into various programs, analyze cost variances, validate unauthorized costs, and ensure project milestones are attained, contributing to process improvements. Managing project funding orders, maintaining project documentation, and assisting in project closeout are also critical functions.
