Solutions Engineer

About the Role:

• Demonstrate Skydio's end-to-end solutions for public safety sUAS operations across state and local government agencies.
• Travel 50-75% to support customer engagements, field activities, deployments, team onsites, and company events.

About the Team:

• The SLED Solutions Engineering team sits between the agency and product, turning operational problems into program designs.
• The team is measured on technical win rate, trial outcomes, program expansion, site assessment quality, and requirements pushed back into the product.

How You'll Make an Impact:

• Collaborate with public safety agencies to understand needs and develop tailored drone solutions as a trusted account team member.
• Conduct product demos, integrate technology into CAD, VMS, evidence management, and streaming platforms, and own site assessment quality.
• Run structured proofs of concept, support BVLOS approvals, waivers, and COAs, and gather feedback to inform product improvements.

What Makes You a Good Fit:

• Strong understanding of drone technology, public safety sUAS operations, and regulatory compliance.
• Familiarity with Drone as First Responder concepts and dock-based remote operations.
• Working knowledge of public safety software platforms, API integrations, and excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
