Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review and interpret geotechnical, geological, and geophysical data to characterize site conditions for seismic hazard and site response analyses.
  • Perform equivalent linear and nonlinear site response, seismic slope stability, and deformation analyses.
  • Compile and evaluate historical seismicity data, seismic source models, and ground motion models for seismic hazard analyses.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience in seismic hazard analysis and/or geotechnical earthquake engineering.
  • Willingness to learn, desire to collaborate and work as a team, and ability to be resourceful and find solutions to challenging technical problems.
  • Experience with seismic hazard, geotechnical, and engineering tools such as Slope/W, FLAC, Plaxis, HAZ45, RSPMatch, Deepsoil/RSSeismic, or Strata.
