Outpatient Surg Obs Coder-Hosp

Responsibilities:

• Reviews, analyzes, and assigns codes based on appropriate coding guidelines for outpatient medical record documentation.
• Assigns correct ICD-10-CM and/or CPT-4 HCPCS codes for Hospital Outpatient Surgery, Wound Care, and Observation.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Hospital coding experience required; multi-hospital and remote coding experience preferred.
• One or more certifications required: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCA, CCS-P, CPC, CPC-A, CPC-H, or AHIMA-accredited Coding Certificate Program.
