Role Overview:
- Underwrite complex mid-market employee benefits accounts with 1,000–4,999 lives.
- Apply advanced risk assessment and underwriting judgment to balance profitability and customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate risk factors, financial data, and market conditions to develop pricing and retention strategies.
- Serve as a subject-matter expert and mentor to other underwriting professionals.
- Partner with cross-functional teams and adjust strategies based on evolving market conditions.
Requirements:
- At least 6 years of employee benefits underwriting experience.
- 3–5 years underwriting Life, STD, and LTD products.
- Strong knowledge of underwriting guidelines, state statutes, and analytical skills.
Benefits:
- Salary range $76,250–$111,500 with annual incentive bonus.
