About the Role:
- As a Software Engineer III, you will build features across the discovery layer and the products behind it, including search and browse for teachers, curation for admins, and exploration for students.
- You will adopt Renaissance’s S3 model of software development, building multi-agent orchestration where specialized agents coordinate on complete features.
What You'll Do:
- Develop backend services that leverage relational databases, non-relational datastores, message queuing, and cloud infrastructure.
- Build and test frontend experiences in TypeScript and React, contract-tested against the backend.
- Write unit, component, and contract tests, plus traces, metrics, and logs.
What We're Looking For:
- Professional experience building and shipping production web applications or services.
- Experience with SQL, a typed language (ideally TypeScript), and cloud operations.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with distributed engineering, product, and design teams.
