Founding Backend Engineer

Seeking a highly skilled and passionate Founding Backend Engineer to join our early team. As one of the first five engineers, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our core backend infrastructure, architecture, and engineering culture. This is a unique opportunity to contribute significantly to a product that will redefine the construction industry. You will work closely with the founders and future hires to build scalable, robust, and intelligent systems that power our AI solutions. You will design, develop, and maintain highly scalable, reliable, and secure backend services for MeltPlan's AI-powered platform. Architect and implement core infrastructure, APIs, and data models to support products like Melt Code, Melt Takeoff, and Melt Coordinate. Work on cutting edge technology to do build sub-second real-time AI inference model production systems. Ensure the performance, security, and stability of our backend systems, making crucial technology stack decisions. Participate actively in technical discussions, code reviews, and architectural decisions. Help define and cultivate MeltPlan's engineering culture and best practices. Mentor and potentially lead future backend hires as the team grows.
