Job Description

The Arbitration Specialist III is responsible for the day-to-day submission of out-of-network disputes, utilizing State or Federal independent dispute resolution processes. This involves monitoring arbitration deadlines, managing dispute inventory, and following team standards. You will support negotiation processes, file disputes using Department of Insurance or CMS portals, and ensure data accuracy. Responsibilities include responding to arbitrator inquiries, maintaining electronic case files, handling AP submissions, and following up on outstanding refunds. You'll need to communicate regularly with the management team on trends and issues, and maintain productivity and quality standards. The role requires advanced skills in MS Word and Excel, knowledge of managed care programs and healthcare billing, and good mathematical and interpersonal skills. Anesthesia experience, knowledge of medical terminology, and prior collections experience are preferred. The position requires a flexible schedule and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
