Core Responsibilities:
- Promote and enforce HSE practices to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Provide technical guidance for HSE training programs and manage WCB processes in partnership with HR.
- Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
Role Requirements:
- Must be a certified Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) with extensive experience in British Columbia.
- Requires knowledge of HSE Management Systems, audit tools, and relevant safety tickets such as WHMIS and H2S Alive.
- Needs strong leadership skills to manage a team of HSE Advisors and excellent written and verbal English proficiency.
Work Context:
- This is a temporary, full-time position eligible for remote work but requires flexibility for maintenance projects and frequent travel to remote sites.
- The role is identified as safety-sensitive, requiring completion of drug and alcohol testing as part of the hiring process.
