Core Responsibilities:

  • Promote and enforce HSE practices to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Provide technical guidance for HSE training programs and manage WCB processes in partnership with HR.
  • Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.

Role Requirements:

  • Must be a certified Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) with extensive experience in British Columbia.
  • Requires knowledge of HSE Management Systems, audit tools, and relevant safety tickets such as WHMIS and H2S Alive.
  • Needs strong leadership skills to manage a team of HSE Advisors and excellent written and verbal English proficiency.

Work Context:

  • This is a temporary, full-time position eligible for remote work but requires flexibility for maintenance projects and frequent travel to remote sites.
  • The role is identified as safety-sensitive, requiring completion of drug and alcohol testing as part of the hiring process.
