Overview:
- Seeking a skilled GIS Database Developer to support DHS customer, focusing on accelerating government impact with mission-ready technology.
- The role involves working independently to develop solutions using GIS tools and programming environments.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement data conversion procedures while performing software and database quality control for GIS applications.
- Work closely with the GIS user community to determine specific application requirements and specifications for projects.
- Support SharePoint development and integrate geospatial systems with Microsoft Power Apps to enhance functionality.
Qualifications:
- Requires eight years of experience in GIS development for law enforcement, immigration, or border security applications, with proficiency in coding and database manipulation.
- Must have a BS/BA in GIS, Geography, Cartography, Computer Science, or a related field and be able to obtain a DHS Background Investigation.
- Desired experience includes supporting software like SharePoint and Microsoft PowerApps, with strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
