Temporary External Auditor, Top Hospitals 2027 List

About the Role:

• Forbes is seeking a detail-oriented data scientist to independently audit the Forbes Top Hospitals 2027 list and ratings pre-publication.
• This second-annual national hospital list will be published in early 2027 to serve as a credible resource for patients and the medical community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Audit the 2027 results with process mapping, methodology-to-code traceability, testing evidence, and reproducibility validation.
• Perform code review to compare Python code against the methodology report for discrepancies.
• Review Excel outputs against the methodology, including checking Star ratings.

Ideal Candidate:

• Has experience analyzing CMS healthcare quality measures and is proficient in Python and Excel.
• Is an effective communicator with precise record-keeping and strong research skills.

Compensation & Location:

• The hourly rate is $100.00, and the role is fully remote within the U.S. for candidates in specified states.
