Job Description
The full-time core faculty member in the Counseling and Human Development (CHD) program will contribute to the academic excellence, student success, and mission of the university by delivering high-quality instruction and supporting program operations in alignment with CACREP standards. We are seeking a colleague who will bring energy, creativity, and collegiality to a team that values fun, mutual support, and excellence in counselor training.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Teaching and Curriculum Development Teach graduate-level courses in counseling, Assist in the ongoing review, development, and refinement of curriculum in collaboration with the Program Chair and faculty team. Student Support and Retention Advise and mentor graduate students in both academic and professional development Participate in student remediation and retention efforts, focusing on using a developmental, strengths-based, student-centered approach. Scholarship and Service Maintain an active scholarly agenda relevant to counseling practice or counselor education. Serve on school and/or university-level committees.
