Resident Network Engineer

The Resident Network Engineer will report to the Service Delivery Manager. This highly technical role provides post-sales, on-site and potentially on-call support for HPE Juniper Networks products. The ideal candidate must have a detailed understanding of protocols used for IP-based service provider networks and demonstrate technical expertise in the configuration, troubleshooting and operation of IP-based routers, including hands-on operation of management tools and network analyzers. The role involves providing operational support, troubleshooting, training customer personnel, evaluating network configurations, and facilitating operations calls. They will partner with other engineers to develop best practices, test patches, assist with network inventory, and help develop Network Operating and Equipment Operating Procedures. Customer may require the Resident Network Engineer to troubleshoot and raise Return Material Authorizations (RMA’s) in addition to producing a written summary report of the status of Design projects, equipment, and network problems on a regular basis.
