Role and Responsibilities:

  • Define and evolve Superhuman’s motion design language across UX micro-interactions, onboarding, and brand moments.
  • Design high-fidelity animations and prototype with AI tools to enhance product feel.
  • Partner with engineers to ensure performant delivery of motion assets.

Qualifications and Fit:

  • 6+ years of motion design experience with a strong portfolio in UI/product animation.
  • Expertise in After Effects, Figma, and familiarity with Rive, Principle, or Framer.
  • Understanding of animation implementation in code, including Lottie, CSS, and React.

Tools and Process:

  • Use After Effects, Figma, Lottie, and AI-assisted tools like Claude and Runway.
  • Maintain motion guidelines and a shared component library for design consistency.
  • Mentor other designers and contribute to a motion-centric design culture.
