Engineering Manager

The Engineering Manager will partner with product and design teams to identify opportunities and lead an engineering team in delivering outcomes. They will drive technical excellence in mapping business requirements to code using best practices in cloud infrastructure, deployment automation, and security. A key part of the role is to balance team capacity between strategic improvements and essential maintenance work. They will foster a culture of technical excellence through mentorship and coaching, and create sustainable processes for cross-team collaboration and knowledge sharing. The Engineering manager will maintain and regularly update long-term capacity planning.

The role requires experience in software engineering and engineering management at scale, with a strong technical background in cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, and distributed systems. Experience with AWS services, infrastructure as code, and container orchestration platforms is crucial. It is important to be amazing at prioritisation to make sure you're not spread too thin while also giving teams the support they need.
