Payroll Accountant

About the role:

• The role involves supporting the payroll accounting function on a temporary basis during a critical period.
• You will contribute from day one, working on reconciliations, journal entries, and reporting deliverables.

What you’ll do:

• Prepare payroll-related journal entries and complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Reconcile payroll-related cash transactions and prepare monthly payroll accrual files.
• Process biweekly Canadian payroll and reconcile monthly benefits billing statements.

Who you are:

• You have 3+ years of experience in payroll accounting with exposure to payroll operations and GL accounting.
• You are comfortable starting quickly with minimal ramp-up in a new environment.
• You have hands-on experience with NetSuite and/or Blackline and understand payroll compliance.
