Software Architect

We’re hiring a Software Architect to play a key role in defining the long-term technical direction of Rula’s platform, ensuring we continue to scale securely and efficiently as we expand access to mental healthcare nationwide. This role will sit on the Application Engineering Leadership Team and serve as a strategic voice across the organization—driving architectural decisions, setting engineering standards, and mentoring engineers to build resilient, scalable systems. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with engineering leadership, product, and data teams to evolve our architecture, improve code quality, and guide foundational initiatives such as identity, observability, and shared security controls. You’ll balance hands-on technical exploration with high-level strategic planning—leading by influence, not authority—to strengthen Rula’s engineering posture. This is an opportunity to shape the next generation of a platform that supports both patients and providers in accessing high-quality mental health care.
