Identify and evaluate emerging mineral processing technologies suitable for processing and refining ore produced by KoBold projects, considering opportunities and modeling tradeoffs from ore to final metal product and designing/implementing tests with processing partners to evaluate a wide variety of process steps to drive evaluation and partnerships for next generation mineral processing.

Improve and define alternative anodic and cathodic catalyst layers. Develop new routes for catalyst layers manufacturing, starting from the ink/slurry formulation to the final Catalyst Coated Substrate (CCS) or Membrane (CCM). Characterise the material during each intermediate and ultimate phases using different techniques and evaluate correlation with electrochemical performances.
