Looking for a Data Engineer II to help design, build, and continuously improve the GoGuardian Analytics and AI/ML ecosystem. This position sits on the Data Engineering team, a group responsible for building and maintaining the core data platform that powers analytics, product insights, and machine learning across the company. Collaborate closely with Data Science, Business Intelligence, and other teams to enable the next generation of data-driven products and AI capabilities.

This role involves collaborating with clients to understand their IT environments and digital transformation goals. Responsibilities include collecting and managing large volumes of data, creating robust data pipelines for Data Products, and defining data models that integrate disparate data. The role also includes performing data transformations using tools such as Spark, Trino, and AWS Athena and developing, testing, and deploying Data API Products with Python and frameworks like Flask or FastAPI.

Help manage the data platform, extend its impact to best support critical data workflows. Build, test, document, and deploy reliable data pipelines, working with diverse systems. Proactively contribute to the evolution of the Data Analytics Platform by proposing new ideas and exploring innovative big data tools.

Lead the design and evolution of our data platform from architecture to production with a focus on reliability, cost, and scale. Drive decisions on data stack and platform standards across teams. Build and optimize high-performance data services and pipelines (batch and streaming) for large-scale workloads. Own production operations for file- and event-based systems. Reduce technical debt and simplify systems with clean interfaces and clear patterns.
