This Functional Chief will work with Service leadership in planning a mix of programs tailored to the needs of the Service and which target different audiences to include single, married, parents and children, wartime and peacetime. This position will also direct service productivity standards, ensure all information and referral, one-on-one, and group education services provided by Work and Family Life Programs staff are properly executed and ensure that staff delivering Work and Family Life Programs are accounting for all services delivered.

Provide educational and support programs and services that directly support deployment and mission readiness by preparing service and family members to anticipate, understand and cope with the demands associated with the Navy lifestyle and operating tempo. The position requires someone with strong communication skills and experience in family programs or social service agencies to effectively support military families and commands.
