Determine technical and conceptual approaches to achieve the project vision while respecting production constraints. Organize and lead team meetings to track progress, anticipate risks, and ensure timelines are met. Mobilize, mentor, and support the direct team through ongoing coaching and continuous feedback.
Determine technical and conceptual approaches to achieve the project vision while respecting production constraints. Propose functional design solutions to develop the projectβs technical foundations for UI. Design functional prototypes to test and validate the user experience with the team and animate certain interface elements within the Unreal game engine. Serve as the main point of contact for technical UI issues on the project and contribute to the evolution of tools, templates, and workflows used for UI across the studio.
Work closely with the UI/UX team to integrate game interfaces (menus, HUD, loading screens, etc.) into Unreal Engine. Develop modular and reusable user interface systems using UMG, Blueprints, and C++. Identify and resolve performance issues related to UI rendering, GPU/CPU profiling, and memory management. Participate in code reviews and share best practices with the team. Collaborate with designers and technical artists to improve UI tools and pipelines. Document completed work.
