Wealthsimple is seeking a Director, Legal to lead legal support for Wealthsimple’s banking and payments infrastructure, partnering with cross-functional teams to mitigate legal risks, executing complex commercial agreements, and supporting operational delivery. This role involves drafting, reviewing, and negotiating banking, payments, and commercial agreements and collaborating with Product, Compliance, Risk, and Finance to develop growth-enabling strategies.

Be responsible for daily execution of all operational activities related to margin supervision, monitor and manage risk within margin accounts holding complex derivatives based on established policies and procedures daily. Effectively implement risk mitigation strategies/solutions in a timely manner.

You will collaborate with BizOps leaders on high-priority projects across growth, customer experience, and product strategy.
