Engineering Manager

Role Responsibilities:

• Manage and mentor engineers to foster a healthy, inclusive team environment focused on growth and high-impact work.
• Drive AI proficiency across the team, encouraging the use of tools like Claude Code to enhance engineering workflows.
• Engage in deep technical discussions on architecture and systems design to ensure reliability and alignment with long-term direction.

Team and Collaboration:

• Partner closely with Product Managers to define roadmaps, shape requirements, and balance product priorities.
• Consolidate inputs from engineers, PMs, and leadership into a single, prioritized backlog for clarity and focus.
• Improve remote communication habits to prevent isolation and enhance collaborative context sharing.

Technical and Operational Focus:

• Ensure team systems are reliable, maintainable, and aligned with our long-term technical direction.
• Define and track team goals, communicate progress and risks to leadership, and model effective team operations.
• Lead with empathy and honesty, focusing on career development and navigating performance reviews and feedback.
