Head of Payments & Identity

About the Role:

• Build and lead an engineering domain responsible for the complete user and money lifecycle, from customer identification to financial accounting.
• Transform the current payment capability into a structured organization across Payments, KYC/Identity, Anti-Fraud, and Core Ledger.

Responsibilities:

• Lead approximately 30 engineers and engineering leaders, defining organizational structure and ownership areas.
• Ensure seamless interaction across the lifecycle: KYC data supports fraud decisions, fraud controls protect payment flows, and payment events create accurate ledger records.
• Improve speed and quality of integrations with payment providers and KYC/AML vendors, especially in regions with complex requirements.

Requirements:

• Proven experience leading a sizeable engineering organization or multiple cross-functional teams, ideally with 30+ people.
• Strong systems thinking and ability to connect customer journeys, architecture, and risk controls.
• Fluent English and excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
