Environmental Scientist 1

About the Role:

• Apex is seeking an entry-level Environmental Field Scientist 1 based in the Eastern Time Zone.
• This role involves 80% travel to operational sites within a 300-mile radius and conducting environmental inspections.
• You will evaluate hazardous waste handling, stormwater systems, air emissions, and more using established checklists.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct scheduled and on-call environmental inspections at operational sites.
• Review facility documentation including manifests, permits, and training records.
• Perform field sampling and prepare detailed reports using online platforms.

Qualifications:

• BA/BS in Environmental Sciences, Biology, Geology, or related discipline.
• 0-3+ years of experience in environmental inspections or regulatory compliance.
• Knowledge of RCRA, EPCRA, Clean Water Act, and other key regulations.
