About the Role:
- Apex is seeking an entry-level Environmental Field Scientist 1 based in the Eastern Time Zone.
- This role involves 80% travel to operational sites within a 300-mile radius and conducting environmental inspections.
- You will evaluate hazardous waste handling, stormwater systems, air emissions, and more using established checklists.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct scheduled and on-call environmental inspections at operational sites.
- Review facility documentation including manifests, permits, and training records.
- Perform field sampling and prepare detailed reports using online platforms.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS in Environmental Sciences, Biology, Geology, or related discipline.
- 0-3+ years of experience in environmental inspections or regulatory compliance.
- Knowledge of RCRA, EPCRA, Clean Water Act, and other key regulations.
