Job Description

World Relief is seeking a Director of Government Relations to represent the organization's public policy priorities with governmental leaders in Washington, D.C. This role involves shaping and advocating for World Relief’s positions on policies impacting vulnerable populations such as refugees, asylum seekers, and immigrants. The director will build relationships with members of Congress, the White House, and other key stakeholders. Responsibilities include crafting policy positions, supervising staff, engaging with media, and ensuring coordination across various organizational divisions on advocacy efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of refugee resettlement and foreign assistance programs, as well as experience in governmental service, political advocacy, or public relations. Strong communication skills and a commitment to World Relief’s mission are essential.
