We are seeking a highly skilled and meticulous Research Attorney to join our team and provide essential support in ongoing litigation. This role is crucial for our day-to-day operations and will involve working directly with the firm's partners on cases across the country. You will be responsible for conducting in-depth legal research, drafting critical documents, and managing the discovery process to build our cases.
Candidates MUST be California State Barred. This attorney will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and summarizing case documents to support litigation strategy and trial preparation. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of workers’ compensation law and excellent written communication skills, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in the review process.
As a Field Investigator, you will conduct investigations to determine employer compliance with workers’ compensation coverage requirements and the subjectivity of injured workers. Through gathering and analysis of information and interpretation of laws, rules, and policies, you will issue proposed orders and impose sanctions for noncomplying employers. You will also provide technical assistance and educate employers.
