The US Oncology Network is looking for a Scheduler to join our team at Texas Oncology. This full-time REMOTE position will support our Virtual Care Team. Typical work week is Monday through Friday 8:00a - 5:00p. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and should be proficient in Microsoft Office. The essential duties and responsibilities include answering all incoming calls; assessing callers’ needs and directing to appropriate personnel, scheduling new patients, patient referrals and returning patients in the computer system. The scheduler will also obtain and enter all insurance authorization, and correspondence relating to referrals in patients charts and/or electronic medical records (EMR). Along with collecting co-pays, deductible and other out of pocket amounts at time of visit. The scheduler will demonstrates an understanding of patient confidentiality to protect the patient and clinic/practice and follow policies and procedures to contribute to the efficiency of the front office.
