About the Role:
- Mentor and grow engineers of all levels, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
- Bridge the gap between company needs and team execution.
- Maintain hands-on proficiency by contributing high-quality code.
Key Responsibilities:
- Champion code quality with engineering standards and insightful code reviews.
- Manage and mentor a team of engineers, conducting regular 1:1s.
- Unblock the team by identifying systemic hurdles and refining processes.
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of software development fundamentals and design theory.
- 5+ years experience in software engineering in the game industry.
- 3+ years experience as a team lead or people manager.
- Fluency in both English and Japanese.
