Engineering Manager

About the Role:

• Mentor and grow engineers of all levels, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
• Bridge the gap between company needs and team execution.
• Maintain hands-on proficiency by contributing high-quality code.

Key Responsibilities:

• Champion code quality with engineering standards and insightful code reviews.
• Manage and mentor a team of engineers, conducting regular 1:1s.
• Unblock the team by identifying systemic hurdles and refining processes.

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of software development fundamentals and design theory.
• 5+ years experience in software engineering in the game industry.
• 3+ years experience as a team lead or people manager.
• Fluency in both English and Japanese.
