Senior Software Engineer - Core Infrastructure

As Canva scales, the role of a Senior Software Engineer in Core Infrastructure involves building and evolving cloud governance capabilities, ensuring compliance and minimizing risk in Canva's cloud environments. This includes designing and maintaining foundational platforms and services that simplify cloud deployment for engineers, making it seamless, scalable, and safe. You will drive operational excellence across cloud infrastructure, collaborating with Engineering Governance and Core Infrastructure teams to improve Canva’s cloud posture and promote industry-leading best practices. The Cloud Enablement team’s mission is to simplify cloud deployment while maintaining high standards of safety and scalability. This involves building and maintaining capabilities like the Compliance Engine, Cloud Account Factory, and rich metadata systems, enabling engineers to focus on delivering impactful work without being hindered by complexity or compliance issues. The team is part of Engineering Governance within the Core Infrastructure group, which aims to reduce the complexities of cloud usage.
