  • Uncovering strategic insights by combining deep product knowledge with rigorous data analysis to identify opportunities for growth and feature improvements
  • Designing and analysing experiments to test hypotheses drawn from user research and behavioural data
  • Defining, forecasting and influencing with metrics — crafting goal metrics, analytic events and dashboards that drive data-informed product decisions

  • Leading and coaching a team of software engineers building and evolving Canva’s core data and storage platforms.
  • Designing, implementing, and continuously improving database and storage infrastructure with scalability, reliability, security, compliance, and cost efficiency in mind.
  • Analysing fleet-wide performance and efficiency across Canva’s storage systems, using data-driven insights to uplift reliability and reduce operational overhead.

  • Acting as a senior escalation point and incident coordinator for security incidents across Canva’s cloud, endpoint, and SaaS environments.
  • Leading and actively participating in security incident response, from initial detection through investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery.
  • Performing deep forensic analysis to determine scope, impact, and root cause, and translating technical findings into clear outcomes for stakeholders.

  • Design and deliver scalable Workday solutions that align with platform best practices and Canva’s unique ways of working
  • Own end-to-end solution design for high-impact system changes — from exploring ideas to validating edge cases and overseeing build and release
  • Partner closely with Product Owners, Workday Analysts, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure designs are technically sound and business-aligned
