Senior Software Engineer - Core Data Team

As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. You will design, implement and maintain database infrastructure automation, tooling and solutions with scalability, high-availability, and security in mind. You will analyze fleet wide performance, reliability and efficiency of Canva’s database infrastructure and roll out best practices and improvements. You will act as an SME for databases at Canva and provide expertise to engineering teams through reviews of database migrations, queries and performance optimizations. You will also support and debug production issues with databases across services and provide on-call support as part of a rotation with the team. You will plan the growth and manage the capacity of Canva’s database infrastructure. You will participate in solution design meetings, hiring interviews, and code reviews. The Core Data team's mission is to “make persistence easy for all Canvanauts.”
