Staff Engineer, Detection and Response

What you'll do:

• Lead D&R strategy and deliver detection systems, automations, and investigation tools.
• Own detection architecture, security observability, and incident response readiness.
• Mentor engineers, set standards for detections-as-code, and drive AI-augmented workflows.

Requirements:

• 8+ years in detection engineering or incident response with leadership experience.
• Strong Python, Git, CI/CD, and detection-as-code skills on SIEM (Panther valued).
• Experience leading high-severity incidents in cloud and SaaS environments.

Success metrics:

• D&R strategy tied to Security KRs with telemetry committed in other roadmaps.
• Better detection coverage and faster MTTD/MTTR with fewer repeat incidents.
• AI-assisted triage and response in production cutting manual toil.
